With a focus on emerging biomedical materials and energy technologies, we have expertise in broad areas of advanced research and engineering, such as multiphase flow measurements and simulations, and fluid, heat transfer and other challenging techniques for SMRs, ATF, and other nuclear and non-nuclear applications. Challenging simulation heater rods include FITSHs (Flow Instability Tolerant Simulation Heaters), high power peaking heaters, and bowed rods and other advanced simulation and measurement techniques for industrial testing or laboratory investigations. Additionally, our pipeline transportation and monitoring division focuses on on-line, real-time modeling and monitoring for multiphase flow pipelines, acoustic pipeline leak detection, fiber optic pipeline monitoring and detection, and AI based pipe surveillance, monitoring, protection, and turn-key solutions. Wind, solar, and other renewables, as well as low-carbon and the highly safe SMR generated nuclear power, must supply the larger amount of general electricity used in order to begin decarbonizing the economy. It is infeasible for the storage and transportation method of this energy to be Lithium batteries, or any of the many other battery technologies, since they are a highly resource-inefficient way to move energy, and the global supply of Lithium is not vast enough to support this venture. For these reasons, Hydrogen gas fuel cells and electrolyzers must become as common as home solar, and hydrogen pipelines must supply clean energy to homes and businesses. We are developing several technologies that aim to make this integration possible.
